The Paper Players have a challenge that is right up my alley: CAS Christmas! I’m running close to the end of the challenge, but we were in Wisconsin for ten days helping Sarah while Adam was away for a week.
I purchased the foiling plate and dies for these Triangle Trees from Waffle Flower last year, and never got around to using them. They are perfect for a CAS Christmas card, but they are definitely a challenge to photograph. I have three variations on the theme:
This one has an embossed gold sentiment from The Greetery’s Tagged Elegance.
The sentiment here is also from The Greetery, Sentiment Suite: Christmas.
Just the same as above with two trees and a gold star punched with a very old punch and bumped out with a bit of dimensional tape.
I was happy to be in Wisconsin, and enjoyed being with Sarah, Caleb, and Hannah, but have to admit being away for 10 days in November puts a time crunch on getting ready for the holidays. I only have to provide pies for the Thanksgiving dinner, but Christmas looms in the not too distant future, and I am NOT at all prepared!
Karen, you do CAS so well, and these elegant cards are a testament to that. I especially love the one with the star and the two trees, but all of them are gorgeous! How wonderful to see your card in the gallery, thanks for playing along at The Paper Players this week!
Very stylish cards. I like your little wood stage for the cards. I’m still in Christmas card prep work just in case our postal services are restored & the workers go back in before Christmas.
Stylish is the word! You made something elegant from something very simple. I too like the last one best, and the way you have presented the cards for the photos really shows care and attention.
Karen, what a wonderful selection of CAS cards. I love the touches of gold and the modern design. Just beautiful. So glad you joined us at the Paper Players and shared these with us

These three are indeed perfect examples of a CAS Christmas. I like that simple and quite graphic design that comes from the clean lines of the trees and the open background. Thank you for sharing with us at The Paper Players.
Elegant and delightful! Perfectly CAS and yet the gold adds a touch of glamour for sure! Lovely cards! Thanks for playing with the Players this week and sharing these with us!
