Ten on Tuesday

I found this the Ten on Tuesday meme through Honore’s blog, but have only participated a couple of times. This week’s prompt was so timely I decided to play along.

10 Things You Put In Your Travel Tote Bag

ToteBag_blog

We hit the road again yesterday, so I just finished packing the tote bag. There are definitely more than 10 items in there, but here are the essentials:

  1. Glasses case with glasses and sunglasses
  2. Umbrella
  3. Plastic zip envelope with articles, cards to mail while we’re away, important documents
  4. iPad
  5. Kindle (I could probably get away with just the iPad, but reading in bed with the Kindle is just easier!)
  6. current novel
  7. sketchbook
  8. watercolor markers
  9. pens and pencils
  10. Contact solution

My current tote is a Baggallini that a friend recommended when Sarah and Adam lived on the West Coast and we were flying back and forth several times a year. It still looks like new and fits over the handle of my rolling suitcase. I just love it. What’s in your travel bag?

  1. Hope you are having a great trip! We just returned late last night from Ohio/Pennsylvania. I unpacked my travel bag this morning – book(s), laptop, Bible, journaling supplies, snacks, magazine, and folder with travel documents.

  2. Karen that is a very full travel bag. Great photo angle. I like that there is so much reading material traveling with you (col). Hoping you have safe, enjoyable, adventurous travels. Oh my travel bag – empty. One day I need to blog about that! (lol)

  3. Packing mine up today – Surface Pro 3 tablet w/cords, glasses, meds for Friday, little bag with stamped images and markers, current book (Rising Strong by Brene Brown), snacks, travel documents, small travel purse (ID, credit card, cash, lip balm, iPhone). Since this trip is just one overnight, I’m using my “personal” carry-on (what I usually take on the plane with all the essentials that don’t go in my suitcase) as my suitcase – it is wheeled and small enough to fit under an airplane seat. It’ll just have jammies, toiletries, and one change of clothes – and then a matching tote bag that attaches to it as my travel bag. If it works out, I may try it for shorter plane trips too.
    Safe travels!

  4. I like this list and will save it to do later (maybe before my next trip) – we have many of the same things (but I don’t do ipad, kindle and book, since these are all the same to me -LOL!)

  5. Mine always has reading stuff (iPad for me, Kindle for DH), iPhone, small camera, sunglasses & spare glasses & sunglasses to name just a few things.

  6. Just about the same things you carry – except contact solution and the Kindle reader; and I’ll add my journal/planner. I have a Baggallini, too – tho’ not as old as yours; they are great bags.
    Enjoy your trip…
    Cheers~
