Early in July, we purchased a new fountain for our shade garden at the Corn Hill Arts Festival. It’s now been functional for awhile, and as much as I like the way it looks, the calming sound of it is the very best part. It’s just off our patio, so as soon as we sit down we can here the water trickling from leaf to leaf. (Sadly, the bugs seem to have been having a feast on our hostas, so the photographs aren’t as pleasing as I’d like.)

lovely…and you have your own waterfall for the scavenger hunt! Nice design for the fountain too..the 3 levels of leaves.
Oh what a pretty garden, and I just love your fountain. The sound of running water like that is just so soothing, it’s no wonder that you love it.
a lovely design for a fountain
What a pretty little fountain! Some day when I actually have (or make) time to have a garden, I’d love to have a little fountain like that.
Oh, that’s lovely! I can almost hear the calm sound of the water …
Oh yes, I bet it’s lovely. Ever since we moved into this house I’ve been planning a water feature to drown out a bit of the traffic noise. Everyone else says they can’t hear it, but I can!
This is very pretty Karen and I agree that the sound of running water is very soothing.
