There is a pile of partially-finished projects on my desk, but I did complete one made specifically for a few challenges: Seize the Birthday-Spring Florals, Stencil Fun-Spring/Flowers, and Colorful Options-Pastels. The challenges offered me an opportunity to use a NBUS stencil by Papertrey Ink and a new set of sentiments by Honey Bee.
I tend to be very heavy-handed when ink blending, but tried my hardest to keep this one soft and subtle. I love the Wild Blooms stencil and the sentiment set, Be Still, is filled with lovely greetings in both print and script. I opted for the dies as well, and they work perfectly.
I struggled to find an appropriate pink ink for the sentiment and although I have several to choose from they were all either too light (even with multiple stampings) or not quite the right hue. I’m still not thrilled with this one. I added some Pinkfresh Studio light pink jewels and called it done.
Very pretty delicate card. I like the sequins.
What a pretty stencil that is Karen! Wish Papertrey had an outlet in the UK :/ I love the pastel colours you used and your arch design. Vicky x
This really is such a beautiful card and couldn’t agree more with Vicky about not being able to get my mits on their beautiful crafty items. Thank you so much for sharing this gorgeous card with us at Colorful Options this really made me smile.

Karen, this is so soft and beautiful. I have that stencil and will have to try making a softer version of it. Beautiful card. Thanks for joining us at Seize the Birthday.
I love the beautiful pastel shades you used for this pretty card, Karen and that stencil is just gorgeous. I enjoyed looking at the photos of your amazing trip too! I’m glad you got home safely after the passport problems.
Well done with your subtle stencil blending, Karen! It’s colored perfectly for springtime, even the sediment ~ which looks fine on my monitor! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
