Team-up Thursday: Black & White

  • by

Black & white was the prompt for this week. We finally had a day that got above freezing so I went for a short walk in Highland Park. There’s always something interesting to shoot there, and I got a few shots to play with in Kim Kassen’s “Photoshop the Essentials” class which started this week. Here is Nancy’s and my shots for Black & White. Mine from the park is on the left. This is the fence that runs around a reservoir at the park. I liked the light on the horizon, and have a color version I like as much, if not better. Nancy’s mailboxes give you a glimpse of the amount of snow we’ve had around here.

  1. Wow, I see serious cold. It’s been unually cold down here but I can’t imagine finally having a day above freezing! But the look of all that snow is so great, I just wanna run through it. I really like how those lines lead you from one side to the other. Great dip, team.

  2. I really like this feature! B&W in photoshop is harder than I thought – LOL! I’ve got some b&w homework set to run tomorrow. Looking forward to your review of Kim’s photoshop essentials.

  3. Love both of the photos Karen, but I’m already oh-so-tired of all the snow. And we are expecting more tonight. To answer your question – no, I’m not near Pittsburgh. In fact, clear on the EAST side of the state! Above Philadelphia, below Allentown.
