My brother-in-law’s upcoming birthday was the motivation for creating a card for both the CPS 150 challenge as well as the Cards Blog challenge. It was also an excuse to get out my new Memory Box “Bare Oak” stamp. The challenge on the Cards Blog was to use a tree in your project. Here’s the sketch for CPS:
Here’s my take on it:
And the inside message:
Cardstock (Bazzill & Papertrey Dark Chocolate), patterned paper (Basic Grey “Granola”), stamps (Memory Box, Crate Paper, Papertrey “Blooming Button Bits” & “Father Knows Best”), Amuse Creative Candy, Doodlebug Paper Frills, white embossing powder, Copic marker R29
Love that tree!
Rinda
Gorgeous card – that tree is stunning!
I hope you find lots more excuses to get out that stamp – it’s gorgeous! Love how you’ve used it 🙂
That tree is great – love the way it looks when it’s embossed. Lovely card. Your family are extremely lucky to get cards from you (I’m afraid my brother’s getting a bought card for his birthday today because I didn’t get round to making one 🙁 )
Love this – simple elegance!
love the wee red bird on the tree – fantastic card
That is really beautiful Karen – I’m going to have to get the thesaurus out to find some more adjectives to describe your work :-)Is the happy birthday sentiment a stamp as well? I like that combination of fonts.
Love your take on the CPS sketch. The embossed tree with the splashy red bird is perfect!
