The day after the election I tried in vain to find a New York Times. Then I tried to get on the web site to order the special (expensive) edition, but I could never get through the process. Too many people like me wanting to preserve an historic day. This morning I was out of the house by 6:30 and found a paper at my first stop. On the local news tonight they had a brief story about the fact that all the New York Times were gone by mid-morning. I enjoyed mine with a cup of coffee and a touch of spring.

I think I’ve become addicted to CNN in the last two days. Watching it does make the time go faster when you’re walking on the treadmill. I saw it all yesterday, and I didn’t mind watching the reruns today. What an event this inauguration was!
Hi Karen,
The tulips are absolutely beautiful!! That’s just what I need on my desk next to my computer… that I am so glued to lately.
I loved the DC festivities. I anxiously await Wendy’s pictures. She said the best part was the ball at the Smithsonian. They stayed until 2am. Everyones raving about our new First Lady’s clothes… I didn’t like them at all except for the color. The coat for the ‘swearing in’ was nice but the dress with the bows blowing in the wind and the rhinestones or sequins… ick! And the j crew green leather gloves didn’t do it for me either. And her dress for the balls… not flattering at all and too foo-foo. I’m familiar with the designer and he could have done better. This dress was too prom-like. Well… I got that out of my system!!
Time for a nap… my eyes are just burning. I give Boyd my full undivided attention at dinner and the evening. If I don’t nap I’ll nod off during our evening together.
Hugs,
Joni
I love what you did with your photo layout… looks so appealing! You chose just the right pictures for just the right spots. For heavens sake Karen… don’t give me any credit. I’m way behind you and just plugging along.
I have a great free brush site for you but I have to remember to send it to you. I got loads of great brushes I’ll use… there were lots that weren’t ‘my cup of tea’.
