The current challenge at The Paper Players is a sketch challenge, and one that appealed to me. At Addicted to CAS the challenge is “Animals,” and I thought I could combine an image from another of my unused/new stamp sets and get a birthday card into the stash.
Earlier I shared one of the stamps from Colorado Crafts illustrated by Anita Jeram. This is another of her darling images.
Her illustrations cry out for watercolors so I got out my Daniel Smith watercolors and created a bit of a background as well as coloring the bunny and his/her balloon.
I kept the rest simple; a narrow black frame and a white embossed sentiment from Pink and Main. Typically, a CAS card calls for white space, but I’m a believer that it can also be colored space as well!
The sun is shining here, and I hope it’s the same for you!
You make the most STRIKING and CLEAN CAS cards Karen! Nothing is ever a miss! This is so darling and so well colored! Love seeing you and your work over at The Paper Players! Take care!
So sweet! Love her precious figures and someday will order a set or two. Have you watched Debby Hughes video today of her watercoloring new Jeram stamps?
An adorable image so perfectly colored, Karen! Clean and cute, for sure! I am so glad you played in my sketch challenge this week at The Paper Players!
The sun isn’t shining, and hasn’t been for days (we have freezing fog) but my day is a whole lot brighter looking at this incredibly sweet card. Your colouring is so delicate. I could be looking at a Beatrix Potter illustration :).
I love bunnies … such a sweet card.
I love this card, as well as your cards on your two previous cards. They are always beautiful. Anita Jeram images are lovely and you watercolors look great.💕
LOVE these images and this bunny is one of the cutest! Thanks for playing with our Paper Players sketch this week! It’s perfect!
Appeals to the inner child in us all! You’ve coloured it beautifully.
This is lovely,
