Today is the monthly blog hop at Papertrey Ink. I truly did not expect to get a card made for the hop, but found some time this afternoon to play around. I love the pretty inspiration piece.
Strangely, considering the number of Papertrey Ink stamps and dies I own, I didn’t own a single Papertrey heart die. I found one by Concord and 9th, however, that seemed made for this challenge. The die itself is designed to cut the heart into a larger piece of cardstock, but I was able to fussy cut around the outside edge to create the heart I was looking for. I adhered it to my new “Shape Shifters Oval 4” die cut from a piece of Pink Peony Bitty Big patterned paper and then to a white top-folded card.
To replicate the pretty flowers, I fussy cut a group of flowers from the Make It Market kit, “Color Pop Florals,” and then added a sentiment die cut from “Swoosh” in Hibiscus Burst. All in all, I’m happy to have my first Valentine made!
Valentines! Already! The card is lovely and I am always amazed with your interpretations of all the challenges.
Cheers~
So beautiful and delicate! Lovely design!
Such a sweet card!! I love your heart wreath and tiny flowers, so pretty!
How pretty Karen! I love the lacey look to the heart and the flowers are a perfect addition! :0)
Very sweet…. love all the colors you used in the flowers.
What a lovely card…the wreath with those delicate little blossoms are perfect. Cheers.
The tiny dotted mat is wonderful with your delicate wreath, Karen! Your fussy-cutting skills are impressive. For some reason my Apple products (laptop and phone) do not let me comment on many blogs so I had to wait until Jim got off the PC desktop this morning.
Karen such a pretty card. I can’t imagine all that fussy cutting!
Oh golly, such delicate work – and it picks up the spirit of the embroidery so beautifully … The little touches of blue are a pretty contrast.
OH, I really like that delicate heart!
Happy New Year!!!!
