A Shaker Star for Marc

  • by

When my nephew saw the shaker card I made for my mother-in-law this summer, he announced that that was the kind of card he wanted for his birthday.

I found the perfect patterned paper in an American Craft paper pad, “Hip, Hip, Hooray.” I die cut two stars with Papertrey’s “Seeing Stars” dies to create the window and frame for the shaker. I used Jennifer McGuire’s tip to use fun foam as the backing for the shaker portion. Here’s a link to her video; what a difference it made—so much easier, and nicer looking, too.

I think he’ll like it! Happy Birthday, Marc!

  1. Aren’t nephews fun? I can hear him saying that right by his card making Aunt! Happy New Year Karen and thank you for your beautiful Christmas card. Mine was the best I feel. I have the white card with the vellum tag. I have been catching up with you today, I love the sound of a family band. The never knowing who will bring what and what wonderful sounds you will hear. Your snowy ZIZO and sunset ZIZO were such a joy to see in one afternoon. I do love wood burning kit but I really do not need another hobby. I might just have a little peak…
