Card Making

  • by

I’m not getting as much crafting time as I like these days. I seem so busy, but at the end of the day there doesn’t seem to be a lot of concrete evidence. I have, however, gotten some cards in the mail.

AnniversaryBJ

This was inspired by a much-more detailed card on Debbie Olsen’s blog.

HarvestBerries

I’m really happy with this card. I don’t often overstamp images, but I like how this came out. After I stamped the sentiment and the leaves, I overstamped with a background text stamp in Dazzle Versamark.

I love how the sentiments from two different sets seem to complement one another.

HomeCard

I recently got the Teresa Collins’ World Traveler 6X6 pad and couldn’t wait to use the gorgeous papers.

I finally inked up my new “Happy Trails” set for this quick and easy birthday card for a friend.

The inside was inspired by this card.

  1. Karen….it doesn’t look to me like you’re being unproductive!! Some wonderful cards here.
I rarely overstamp either….on images or papers…..and am always worried about messing up the whole card….but love what you’ve done on yours…..and am now am seriously considering being brave enough to do it on my MME papers….as adding a stamped and layered sentiment just doesn’t feel right with these papers.

  2. So in love with what you do with cards! Just getting started in the stamping world, I’m in a bit of a tizzy over getting images to come out cleanly. Would you like to take a drive south and give me some hands-on lessons???

  3. Could you come over here when you have been over there? Your cards are amazing. I especially like Home, and the last two and the first one that leaves two and five which are fabulous.x

  4. This is one of the posts where every card I look at seems to be my favorite! I love the collaged look of the “travel” cards and the ginko leaves and color combo of the birthday cards especially.

  5. The stamp layering is highly effective Karen, and I love the colour scheme you chose. All of those new papers are very lovely … in fact, they are making me feel wistful for ‘real’supplies!

  6. OMG, Karen, your cards are gorgeous! Very inspiring! Looks like you’ve been very productive – even with all the events you have going on!
