Clean and Simple Challenge 132

  • by

While I was recuperating, I spent a lot of time surfing the internet and got the urge to participate in some of the MANY challenges on the internet for card makers. The Clean & Simple sketches have always been a favorite of mine. Here’s last week’s sketch:

FTL132

And here’s my take on it:

JustANote

I started with Papertrey Ink’s White Select cardstock and die (Papertrey) cut three flowers with Raspberry Fizz, Orange Zest, and Hawaiian Shores felt. The rickrack, ribbon, and buttons were all items from my stash. The patterned paper is from the Emma’s Shoppe 6X6 pad by Crate Paper. The sentiment is from Floral Frenzy (Papertrey). I haven’t used this set in a while. The inside sentiment reads “You’re in my thoughts today.” I have a friend who had a hip replacement this morning, so this will be on the way to her as soon as we know where she’ll be for rehab.

  1. The card is lovely, but, I really love how you have photographed it. I must head over to the craft shop and buy some foam board, is the background scrapbooking patterned paper?

  2. I love your blog soooooooo much and I feel terrible that I don’t get here more often. My friend Jerry and I are not dating anymore (he wants someone with him 24/7 and that’s not me) so I am going to make more time to comment on my favorite blog friends.
I love the sailboat cards the very best. Maybe because I live in a sailing community? Lovely!
Why did you have surgery? Everything OK?
    Health and love to you!!

  3. I can see why these sketches appeal to you – and I *love* how you’ve interpreted this particular one, the card is so cheerful! 🙂
