The new challenge at Color Hues is really versatile. Neutrals can be added as well as gold or silver.
This is one of those cards that just “came to be.” I had a card completed for this challenge, but about a week or so ago, I was in another organize and purge mood. In the process I came upon the card front which was embossed with a beautiful embossing folder by Alexandra Renke.
As soon as I saw it I knew it would make a perfect CAS card for this challenge. I added it to a black card base and used a sentiment strip from my stash.
I debated for a bit about embellishments, but finally decided on some small black pearls from AMuse which have been in my stash forever. I’m pretty sure I’ll use this design again. It’s very versatile. I can see it as a birthday card, an anniversary card, a thank you note, and even a sympathy card.
I hope you’ll hop over to the Color Hues Challenge and join in the fun, checking out the cards made by my awesome Design Team members and our Guest Designer, Shawna.
A very elegant make Karen. 🙂
I saw this over on Instagram and it took my breath away in its pure simplicity and elegance. You have such a gift …
Such clean lines, I like the embossing.
What a lucky find and it’s just perfect like I said on IG! Embossing folders are gaining popularity again, it seems.
This is so elegant – those black pearls are the perfect finishing touch!
Me too – it’s a really classy card. I almost gasped when I first looked at it this morning! Understated finesse and really pretty – would be suitable for many people/occasions!
Such a beautiful CAS card Karen! Love the way you photographed it too! Love that you found this just waiting to be used! You have really been purging! You better slow down or you won’t have anything left. LOL Have a great day!
So elegant and understated Karen, I love it! Vicky x
