We awoke to our first snow this morning; December 1st seems like an appropriate day for it. I am not a skier or a fan of cold weather, but this seems just right now that the house is decorated for Christmas. Our spirea are about the only bushes with leaves left on them, and they look very pretty with the snow.
Today is the first day of Shimelle’s Journal Your Christmas class. I made this page after reading her email, and have yet to read the prompt and ideas for Day 1. As I suspected, the 6X6 album size is going to be a challenge. Fitting journaling and a photo on the page is tricky, and I think there’ll be more 2-page spread this year than usual, especially if I have multiple photos.
wow snow on the 1st Dec. love that photo.
I love your first album page! I signed up for her class too! I’m doing a combination of Shimelle, Ali Edwards, and just plain old ME! I’m anxious to get started today but still in my jammies! I just finished my (your) gift card holders. I wanted to take a photo and I sealed Kristin’s envelope before I gave it another thought!! See how you’re influencing my creativity!!
Thanks!!
Joni
Oh wow. Snow! Too cool!!!
Love your page, too.
Great page Karen, I love the photo showing your previous albums :). I did my first page and for now have decided to keep it very simple. Still haven’t worked out how I’m going to number each page so I’d better get my thinking cap on!
We had our first frost this morning and I was out scraping the car before taking Claire to work, glad it’s not snow yet!
That’s why I’m making 8.5×11 pages – need to fit all of the journaling 😉
You seem to be set for the season Karen – the snow was a lovely touch … the weather can be helpful sometimes!
Beautiful. It’s so fun to see how everyone is doing their journals. I finally got an inspiration for mine. Will work on it and probably get something posted on Friday.
