I have two challenges to share today. The first is the Moxie Fab Bright and Bold Color challenge. I’d like to get all of the color challenges completed by the end of the month if I can. Here are the colors:
And here’s my card:
I had these white flowers left over from another project and decided they’d be perfect for the card. Everything is from Papertrey Ink except for the two orange buttons.
One of my goals this year is to develop a daily practice of taking photos. I’m not trying to do a Project 365 since I’ve failed twice at that already. I’ve joined Darcy’s Flickr group for Project 52, and I’m planning on playing along at Darcy’s Sweet Shot Tuesday when I can. Here’s my favorite shot from last week. Tracy’s growing some Christmas cactus under lights in the basement. When they bloom, he brings them upstairs for us to enjoy. I’m trying to learn to use my new macro lens, so this was a good subject.
Such bright happy colors – you pulled them together beautifully.
What a gorgeous shot you got of your Christmas cactus! And so different from the same subject that I posted today! I’m always amazed how people can shoot the same thing and end up with such different looks!
The shot of the flower is absolutley beautiful!! I’ll have to check out that blog. Always looking for motivation.
I really like the card. I think it’s that touch of orange that makes it such a winner.
Your Post on your FANTASTIC DD album got me working on mine today. Almost done with The journaling.
Oh well done with the macro – I love macro flower shots! I can’t imagine the growing of plants in a basement – we have huge weather differences 🙂
WOW, I LOVE your card! So striking! You rocked that color challenge. and that flower photo is stunningly beautiful.
That card sure is bright! LOL! Love the plant photograph. I think what I’m focusing on photographically this year is portraits and black and white. Plus the whole photoshop thing.

That certainly is a beautiful flower shot Karen. I always love to see your photo, so I’m looking forward to many more in 2011
these are both gorgeous – so well done!
blessings today!
Gorgeous photo of the flower, Karen! And I do love the colors used in your cute card. Funny, those aren’t colors that I would automatically choose for a project, but they are really great together.
That cactus flower is very beautiful – great shot. Know what you mean about not doing projects you’ve not been able to keep up with before! Good luck with this one …
Love those colours together – I wouldn’t have thought of using black as the base, but wow, it really makes the colours pop!
And the photo is just stunningly gorgeous 🙂
WOW!! love the colors you used on the card!! it’s so striking !!!
Hey Karen! Thanks for entering the Bright & Bold challenge in the Color Inspiration for Card Makers Week suite of six challenges in the Moxie Fab World! I’m so glad you joined in on all the fun! 🙂
