One more pair from the Lincoln Park Zoo. This is a Meller’s Chameleon from East Africa. As we were looking at him, he suddenly rolled his eyes back to look at us without any other movement in his head or body. Kind of creepy, actually.
Forward and Backwards:
Eyes Forward
Eyes Back
Linking up with Helena’s meme, Pairs.
what a fine specimen and yes that eye backwards is creepy
Good close up photos. While I know nothing about Chameleons, he does look a fine example & colourfully amazing. Those roll back eyes would creep me out quickly.
Great shots, he is a beautiful colour.
Whadda guy! I so wish I could do that – minimum effort in all things! ;o)
It is creepy but quite useful! He is a fine fellow.
What a fantastic pair . . . although maybe a little creepy, yeah!
Oh my goodness, what splendid photos – you did well to capture this! Isn’t he a lovely colour and texture? I like his slightly grumpy expression: “Who are you lookin’ at, kiddo ..”.
