Pairs on the Canal

  • by

My friend, Debbie, and I are still getting in our long walk on the canal every week. The weather for November has been wonderful, and although it was a chilly start yesterday, the sun warmed us up pretty quickly. We almost always see ducks swimming in the canal, but yesterday there were large groups of Canadian geese—-

on the water and in the air
swimming and flying

I wish I’d had my big camera with me, as it was hard to get a closer, clear shot of the geese swimming across the canal.

Surprisingly, the iPhone did quite a good job of capturing them flying overhead.

Linking up to Helena’s blog, and wondering how we’ve gotten so close to the end of the year!

  1. Great capture of flight for your Pairs. Hasn’t November’s weather been unpredictably lovely? We are also having warming sun filled afternoon walks outside. The longer I can stay off the treadmill for my walks, the happier I am. Your iPhone did a great job of both photos, the reflection in the first really gives me the sense of the mood of the walk.

  2. What fabulous photos. I think your iPhone must be a more recent version than mine. Interesting that you and Mary Lou say November has been good weather. It’s been rubbish over here!

  3. Love these photos and your concept for today. I think your pics have less to do with the equipment, and more to do with the operator… Of course, bright, clear days don’t go amiss either. Our November has been wet and windy and that’s my excuse for a poor selection of blah photos!

  4. Those are incredible photos from an iPhone! Gives me hope! What version of iPhone do you have?
And those are just incredible photos of a beautiful setting! Thanks for sharing…and here’s to many more wonder walks along the canal.
