This week’s color at Project 64 is indigo. Indigo has always been one of my favorite colors. It was very easy to find in our house:

1. Our couch 2. Bowl from Mexico 3. Ornate bowl my father bought for his mother when he was stationed in the Coast Guard during WW II 4. Our mantle decorations: indigo candles from Target, indigo in the quilt; indigo pitcher 5. My mother’s indigo cut glass vase 6. Jug with indigo design and indigo flowers 7. Indigo and yellow vase

And another indigo bowl with blueberries:

Truth is there are other examples in nearly every room in the house. I doubt there’ll be another color that’s so prevalent here.

  1. Indigo has never been a color that “speaks” to me, but seeing all the delightful touches of it in your home makes me want to come visit! Especially love the blueberries in the bowl and that glass vase with the daisies!

  2. It is so interesting how we are attracted to certain colors. I had more Indigo than I thought around my house. Although, I am a “green” gal the most. lol
All of your shots are beautiful.

  3. You have some absolutely lovely little touches of blue in your room – and it seems like you have a fondness for pitchers and bowls. I do too.

  4. I am so impressed with the amount of indigo you managed to find! The bowl and blueberries is the perfect combination, unfortunately they would not last long enough to photograph in my house as my children are addicted to them!

  5. Hi Karen ~ I’m playing catch-up this morning and it’s so fun to be back on your blog looking at your amazing photos. I LOVE the one of the blueberries in the bowl. That would be so pretty framed for a kitchen…
