Snap: Week 4

  • by

Last week I debated about a group of snow photos, and chose instead to focus on bright colors. Although the incredible East Coast blizzard stayed east of us, we did get some decent snow last week, and I went out in the yard for some photos.

It’s been very windy today and quite a bit warmer so the icicles have disappeared from the roof, and lots of the snow has melted. My friend, Debbie and I walked on the canal yesterday. The snow was hard packed by previous walkers and runners, so it wasn’t hard to walk at all. We’re hoping to get our weekly walk in every week from now on, but that’s probably optimistic.

  1. Just enough to be pretty (and fun, if so inclined)! I could enjoy a little more snow as opposed to all this rain, TBH. Love the third photo, the way the bricks are revealed and how the ridges are highlighted in white.

  2. Love the photo vignette and for your sake, so glad the snow/blizzard passed you by – whoda thought? Glad you are still able to make your weekly walk; I wish we had such a place nearby…
    Cheers~

  3. I always like getting different perspectives and from the canal sounds different to me! Good luck on the walks – I called off one today due to gale force winds and rain…

  4. I’m kind of jealous of those who got just enough for pretty pictures. We had literally no snow stick to the trees or bushes. But it did pile up pretty high on the roof and there have been a number of roof collapses in the area. Our neighbor had to shovel his roof to clear a window!

  5. Snow in my favourite way – photos! We were also lucky to have missed the bulk of that snow storm – poor Virgina! Your foursome are really nice photos. I have given up for the rest of the month walking outside, too much ice underneath all that snow, so until March or April, it will be the treadmill for me 🙁
