About 90% of the snow in our front yard has melted, and there are a couple of buds on the hydrangeas, but according to the meteorologist winter is not gone! Not that I expect it to be in early March. Yesterday we were nearly blown off the sidewalk with gusts of winds clocked at 60mph, but the record high temperature of 73° was a very welcome change. The Paper Players has a springtime challenge, and I had time to play yesterday. I needed a note for a new church member and this fit the bill.
I started by using the Pinkfresh Studio hot foiling plate, “Lush Vine” to emboss a piece of white cardstock. I love the result! Then I finally broke out the Pinkfresh “In the Meadow” Washi tape and accompanying die. I now have a lovely pile of blooms die cut and used two of them on the card.
The two-piece sentiment is from The Greetery’s “Opposites Attract.”
In addition to The Paper Players, I’m adding this to the Addicted to Stamps and More gallery where “Any Occasion” is the challenge, and to NBUS for using the Washi tape.
Thank you for sharing your lovely card with us at NBUS this month

Such a pretty card & the new church member will be so pleased with this welcome card. I’ve seen a lot of Washi tape that are “stickers” to create scenes – I need to check out this Pink Fresh Washi tape.
This is so gorgeous! I love the embossed background and all the beautiful flowers! Such a sweet sentiment, too! This card will make someone smile! So happy you joined us at The Paper Players this week!
So pretty! That sentiment is so fresh and bold against the white background and the flowers are beautiful! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Players this week!
What a breath of freshness and Spring promise – both delicate and and visually strong at the same time. And how lovely to you to create a card for a new member at church. I am sure s/he will feel very welcomed to your community.
Karen…so love everything about your card! I can’t believe that is washi tape…it is wonderful! Thanks for sharing the details. If it makes you feel any better… here in South Florida we will reach 91 degrees today… the warmer the better for me! Enjoy the coming spring.
Karen your embossed panel is beautiful and your washi flowers make a lovely corner detail. So pretty! Thanks for playing along with us over at The Paper Players this week!
The depth and definition of that embossing is pretty amazing, Karen, and it’s perfect as a foundation for the beautiful blossoms and lovely sediment! This is a keeper design to use for any number of occasions, she says as she clicks the Pinterest save button. Thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
