Another interesting mix this week for “celebration.” I decided on Valentine sprinkles (haven’t made the cookies yet) and Nancy photographed one of Highland Ave’s snow sculptures. Thank goodness for folks who celebrate the winter around here. We need a few bright spots during the long, cold, snowy winters in Rochester!
That sculpture is too funny! And you are well on your way to being an accomplished food photographer!
What a contrast this week – love them both.
Love them both….though that snow sculpture is amazing.
A very interesting pair – compositionally, they seem to parallel each other to me, with their strong vertical orientation. I also find the really saturated hues of both of them similar. And, of course, they’re both about eating!

That snow sculpture is wonderful! Love the way you’ve got the sprinkles so vibrantly focussed … I feel as if I could reach out and sneak a few!
Love the dof in you sprinkle shot. Well done.
