This week’s prompt was “morning” and I knew what I wanted to do, but it was a struggle. I ended up with three versions of my photo but settled on the one with the texture from Kim Klassen. I’m still trying to perfect this technique. It was taking so long, I finally had to just quit and live with it.
My breakfast on the left; Nancy’s take-out window on the right.
It’s taking a couple of days to get readjusted after all the traveling I’ve been doing. There have been lots of appointments, unpacking, jet lag to overcome, and serious efforts at organizing for moving my office/studio. I have another post to do after dinner but wanted to be sure this post was up–late as it is.
Karen I’m looking forward to the day when my breakfast resembles something like yours. We don’t have take away breakfasts but our dinig table is covered with colour samples, tile samples and all sorts of things – it is hard to find the space to set it for each meal – we are trying though!
Jet lag is always such an unpleasant surprise!
Your breakfast picture is so pretty it’s magazine-worthy.
I love your breakfast picture, makes me want to sit down and have a cup of tea with you :o) Hope you get over the jet lag soon. Have a lovely weekend x
I think you’re doing great with the texture. That’s becoming a serious goal for me for 2011.

“…just quit and live with it” – Karen, are you kidding???? Your morning shot with the texture is AWESOME! I could picture that printed on a canvas and hung on the wall! Beautiful work.
I love the texture of yours, Karen. Actually, I think our two photos are a great comparison….one is elegant, the other is stark…one is soft, the other is harsh. Most certainly, I would rather “live’ in your photo! 🙂

Karen, your photo is stunning! I love it so much! Great work. I like the take out window photo too. It must be fun to compare each others photos.
What a beautifully elegant and photographed breakfast …
