Both Rinda and Jacky have posted recently about letting patterned paper work for you, and stamping directly on paper. I did a bit of both with this set of thank you cards to three friends who gifted me with a wonderful children’s book and painted stool for Skylar. A painted stool for Caleb is in the works.
I love these patterned papers from the mini pad “Sunshine” Lost and Found by My Minds Eye. All three papers came from the pad and were adhered to Vintage Cream cardstock by Papertrey Ink. The stamps were Fillable Frames #1 and #11 (sentiment). The nice thing about cards like this is once you pick the papers, the cards come together very easily.
And Happy Veteran’s Day, and a heartfelt thanks to all the veterans who have defended our freedom throughout the years!
These are really lovely and I would imagine that papers like these ones would be very helpful/useful for card makers!
Great job! And thanks for the shout-out. I usually give card sets for Christmas, and I”m beginning to think about what to make.

I’m just discovering the mini papers myself – you have showcased them perfectly here
Your cards are so lovely Karen, gorgeous paper…no, no, no, I do not need more paper:)
Beautiful and great idea, Karen! I love the My Minds Eye Lost & Found papers – perfect for the backgrounds!
Gorgeous cards, I especially like the top one 🙂
So gloriously vintage … the combination of techniques works really well. Like the sentiments too.
I could SWEAR I posted a comment on these cards days ago… but it appears that the Internet ate it. In any event, love these papers and love how you made them work for you. Any friend would be lucky to receive one of these!
