Winter Storm and Project 52/50

  • by

It’s sunny, but cold here today. There is nothing but a remenant left of the storm we had a week ago. Unlike the east coast, we got lots of snow, but NO wind. The result was exceptionally beautiful as the snow clung to the branches for nearly three days.

It started like this:

And developed into this:

Here are a few more photos of the first two days:

But it was Sunday when the snow came out that it became simply stunning.

Lots of these were taken with my iPhone and a few with my wide-angle lens. This one was taken with the 50mm and it’s my pick for the 52/50 project I’m doing this year. I’m linking it to Kent Weakley’s P52.

  1. Karen, your photos are just stunning!!! Those of us in the Southern hemisphere look lovingly and longingly at these images and wish we had this kind of winter. But of course we don’t have to live with the reality.
I was drooling over the almost white photos …. till I came to the blue sky ones. I bet in real life the scene was dazzling.
Love your Valentines post too, absolutely divine cards and packaging.

  2. Karen, I am posting here because I couldn’t get the About Me link above to click through to where I’d hoped to find your email address. I was bowled over to find a parcel from you arriving on Saturday, and so excited! Thank-you so very, very much. Inspirational (it and you), and it is already beside my bed. I will be taking a little photo for my blog in the new few days. Thank-you SO much again xx.

  3. Wow, your photos are just stunning! I love seeing all that snow…esp since we have none, lol. and so gorgeous against the blue sky!

  4. These photos are absolutely gorgeous! I wish we got that much snow, ours is a mere dusting at most. One day I’ll convince my hubby to go somewhere snowy with me, just for photography opportunities! x
